The absence of Love is a barren wasteland of Indifference. Hate is an extreme emotion like Love. Love attracts, and Hate divides. Love makes you want to be with people and help them. Hate makes you want to avoid people and sabotage them.
Admitting to yourself that a personal fantasy of hurting someone is not born out of a sense of justice, but a feeling of hate, requires the sensibility of logic. Confusing hate with a sense of justice will fool you into taking actions that you falsely believe are morally justified. Knowing yourself is a skill. Being aware of the danger of Hate is a skill. You avoid touching fire because you don't want to get burned. If you deny the possibility of internal hate, that is just as dangerous as cooking over an open flame, thinking you cannot be burned.
